You move ? Campus Market comes to collect what you no longer want

It's the return of the famous collections of the Lille association Campus Market. The objective is quite simple and suits everyone. On the one hand people who leave the city cannot or do not want to ship all their furniture or crockery, on the other young people who will certainly need it when they arrive in Lille for their return to school. Well, Campus Market is going to come and collect, store and resell all that at low prices.

For the newbies, we'll quickly tell you the story: before the creation of Campus Market at the end of 2017, when we were students and moved, the furniture we couldn't bring with us or that could not be resold online often ended up on the sidewalk or vegetating ad vitam æternam in a family garage.

Now it's over. The collections organized by Campus Market with its partner Vitamine T are there to free you, to free you from all that you have in excess. They arrive on a Saturday morning with their truck directly below your home, to come and take free:

For your old stained mattress or your table missing a leg, it's not here that it happens but at the recycling center (and it's not Campus Market that takes care of it for once) . Volunteers cannot take back any bedding (even if it is in good condition) or bed frames, box springs or any furniture that has actually been dismantled.

A host of collections are planned from April 16, each time on Saturday morning. Just book your slot online now, knowing that we can already move forward on dates in April, May and June. Be careful, you have to live in Lille, Villeneuve-d'Ascq or on the outskirts, otherwise it's too far for the Campus Market truck to be able to make its rounds.

Moving? Campus Market is collecting this you no longer want

The novelty this year is that individuals but also companies can participate in the collection. If your box changes its office chairs, for example, it can register to spin the old ones to the Lille association. Or if your darons live in the area and don't know what to do with their old sofa, that works too.

Once your time slot has been reserved, the team will call you back to set your time slot and remind you a few days before D-Day. On that day, all you have to do is go downstairs to your furniture and objects that you wish to get rid of. Campus Market comes by and takes care of storing all this warm during the summer.

All this furniture will then be resold at low prices to students during major sales in September, at the Catho (September 8) and at Cité Scientifique (September 15). The profits allow the association to operate but above all to pay the employees in reintegration who come to collect the furniture. Good social and solidarity economy as we like.

Note that Campus Market still needs civic services (compatible with a student schedule) and interns in Lille. If the values of the association appeal to you and you want to unite around the circular economy, you can send an email to paul.celerier@campus-market.com.
