Stéphane Brogniart presented his new challenge this Monday evening, during a Facebook live and on the set of our colleagues from Vosges Téléby.
After crossing the Atlantic alone 2 years ago, the ultra-trailer and Vosges adventurer wanted to make it simple for this new challenge, called "Hohneck 4808".Next spring, in May, he will leave from his house to Rochesson to go straight, always straight, alone and without practically no assistance. The idea is to draw a line between the Hohneck and Mont Blanc, which rises to 4,808 meters above sea level.
This 350 -kilometer journey will be punctuated by several obstacles to be crossed: the Hohneck, the Jura massif, the crossings of the lakes of Neufchâtel and Léman - to swimming, in paddle or boat - the Chablais massif and finally Mont Blanc,A final stretch that will require a change of equipment."To climb Mont Blanc I will be assisted by a guide because I need at least one rope," says Stéphane Brogniart, who has 10 to 12 days to finish his challenge.“I expect about thirty kilometers a day, knowing that it will be off track and with 20 to 25 kilos of equipment on me.I will really be in the resourceful, using everything that is offered to me.»»
Unlike some of its previous challenges, "Hohneck 4808" will not be participative but lonely. The idea is to show that everyone can go from home on an adventure, "not by millions or by going to the other end of the earth. The idea is also to release a film, "to show that the adventure is in front of you.»»
