Netflix has just unveiled an image from its next series in which Sofia Vergara plays a drug baroness. The Colombian-American actress is unrecognizable.
It is well known: some actors do not hesitate to undergo a physical transformation for a film. And it is not the actress Sofia Vergara who would dare to say the opposite.

After playing Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in Modern Family, the actress lends her features to a drug baroness in the next Netflix mini-series: Griselda. The television show will chronicle the rise of Griselda Blanco, a Colombian drug trafficker considered to be the pioneer of cocaine trafficking to the United States (1970s).
An incredible physical transformation
Earlier this month, the famous American streaming platform unveiled the first image of the series. And the least we can say is that Sofia Vergara is unrecognizable! Make-up, prosthesis, wig… Cigarette between her fingers, the 49-year-old American-Colombian actress is one with her character.

At this time, no information regarding the release date has been revealed. The series of six 50-minute episodes is produced by the Narcos creative team. On the casting side, we will find Alberto Guerra (Narcos: Mexico), Alberto Ammann (Narcos), Vanessa Ferlito (NCIS: New Orleans) or even Juliana Aidén Martinez (Blacklist).
You may not know it, but Griselda Blanco is said to have murdered more than 200 people, including children. The one who was the mentor of Pablo Escobar was at the head of a personal fortune estimated at more than 2 billion dollars.
