Valeeva, who led the female artistic skating test after the short program, fell in love with free skating Thursday evening, stumbling to finish fourth while her compatriot Anna Shcherbakova skated for gold.
The 15 -year -old girl failed an anti -doping test at her national championships last December, but the result was only revealed on February 8, the day after Valeeva had already helped the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC)to win the team test.
She was authorized to participate in this test despite the doping scandal that weighed on her and on the games.
