Konyks Pluviose connected socket is not new on the Domo-Lab bench.We have already tested this outlet when it was released two years ago.With its Easy range, Konyks aims to improve the user experience even more than what was offered so far.Indeed, this new Easy range takes up the strengths of Konyks products and adds Bluetooth connectivity as well as other new features.This is what we invite you to discover in this new test.
We take the same and start again, but better!
If in broad outline and in particular on the design nothing changes, Konyks brings new interesting features to this Easy version of Pluviose.Bluetooth and consumption monitoring appear for even more complete use of the taking.Visually, it is a few details the same as its elder.Some differences such as the "shuko" format rather than classic with the earth spindle in the center, or even a more efficient seal.
Inside, there are also some changes.The socket is clearly evolving.The choice of components, but also the design of the electronic card evolve.We see the difference with what we had on the test of the first version.As a reminder, Konyks focuses on the quality of the components used to make these devices make these devices.We will however criticize the connection terminal block which requires rigid cable to do it well in the quick connector.A multi-brings electric cable will be complicated to connect properly in the absence of a screw terminal block.

An always simpler installation, but still in wifi
One would have thought that this taking of the Easy range would have been connectable in Bluetooth directly without necessity a wireless network WiFi.Unfortunately, unless I am mistaken, it is not possible.You need a wifi connection to associate the socket with your account and the Konyks application.
As often with connected objects not supported 5GHz wifi but only 2.4GHz.This is not a problem, you just have to think about reactivating this on your router (Internet box).
The procedure is simplified and fast.We enter the safety key of the WiFi network and launch the association procedure on the plug with the pressure on the button to see it appear and successfully add under the mobile application.
Once added, the socket is controlled in ON / OFF.Classic, so far no difference with the pluviose version that we had tested two years ago, apart from an improved visual under the application.Konyks made efforts to make his application more user -friendly and it is rather successful.
Bluetooth, a more appreciable for local piloting
The great novelty of this Easy version therefore lies in the addition of the Bluetooth protocol.If the latter does not allow us to be used for recording the socket in the application.Simple question of cloud dependence, necessary in this phase of association and recording on the Konyks server.Once this step has been carried out, if you deactivate the wifi connection of the smartphone.You can always continue to activate the plug.A Konyks Easy range, which is therefore no longer dependent on the cloud and internet in general to operate once the installation is made.
