Separated, it is in a milling pavilion from the beginning of the 20th century, that Doctor Dayan lives and now receives his patients not far from Paris.An unoccupied family home for some time and that we will have to reclaim.This is the story told by the two directors and that Etienne Rohde, chief decorator, had to transpose "in real".He wanted to create a gentle, nice atmosphere, in short "a place in which we feel good, away from the world where people confide," he reveals to us.To achieve this, he immersed himself in his memories, inspired by a multitude of little things found on the Internet, in magazines and books, especially those of photos.And if the case between the two seasons has changed, common elements are scattered in the new lounge which also serves as a cabinet.In addition to the red sofa and the brown leather chair, photos, paintings and some small objects are part of this new adventure, such as landmarks."He took part of himself to this house," explains the decorator, personal memories that mingle, "he continues," to a place where there are vestiges of the past, a memory.This can echo what's going on in a shrink firm.There had to be an experience, that we do not find ourselves in a sanitized and cold universe ".Consequently, the atmosphere foundations are unchanged, soils, wallpapers ... preserved.He may still simply repain the walls of the cabinet and asked a loved one or a neighbor to make him new curtains.Who knows ?So, in this suburban house, various universes rub shoulders, a "heterogeneous mixture as are often the houses" admits so precisely Étienne Rohde.A setting that says much more about the character's psychology than it seems.Dayan is a cultivated man, who practices photo, listens to music and goes to the theater.Its environment, although a little dusty at first glance and little anchored in our time, reflects its personality.In a carefully studied accumulation, books, paintings, photos invade the frame as if to fill a vintage lack and platinum is just playing familiar music.

In therapy, a star red sofa with an eclectic and nostalgic decor
Discreet but whole character, the red sofa of Doctor Philippe Dayan plays the heroes in spite of himself.Essential element of the cabinet of the psychiatrist of the series, he takes place in the middle of the congested lounge bureau of consultation.On the way to becoming (almost) as emblematic as that of Michel Drucker, it is on this couch, in velvet struck with a deep red, that patients come in turn to confess their ailments there.Here, it displays reassuring curves and a very decorative touch with a darker tone piping.Opposite, this is the brown armchair, in a little aged leather on which the doctor settles down.All around, we discover an eclectic, living and personal decor made of elements of the 60s, 70s and 80s.At each end of the room are libraries.One, in dark wood, thought and built from scratch by the team.A model of Scandinavian inspiration of the 60s, invented for the series and which, entrusts us with its creator, is now in the office of Éric Toledano and Olivier Nakache.On the other side, it is a more modern piece of furniture that settles, there, just behind the sofa.A USM library that seems to be denied: "It has been a lot of debate and no one wanted to at the start.I fought a little because I thought it brought a more contemporary element.I liked it to have chrome in a very wooden universe "admits Étienne Rohde.And chrome, like glass, it reveals a lot in the middle of sandstone, wood or ceramic objects.
