An aperitif, a clumsy gesture and a wine stain quickly arrived. Whether it's on our favorite white shirt, our beautiful immaculate sofa or our brand new carpet, whatever, we'll have to eliminate it. Water, milk, white vinegar … What are the right ingredients to use to remove a wine stain? How can we avoid spreading it and, on the contrary, save our favorite fabric?
Whether red, white or rosé, here are all the tips to easily remove a stain of wine.
Remove a stain of wine with salt
According to some of Grandma's recipes, salt would be our best ally. Make a mistake, as this will only make the situation worse: salt, whether large or thin, allows you to absorb the liquid, but will be ineffective in removing the tannins from the wine from your fabric, leaving all its colors. In addition, if it is rubbed for a long time on a fragile material, salt can quickly damage it.

Remove a stain of wine with milk
The first thing to do, if the task is not yet dry, is to absorb as much liquid as possible by tapping the task with a rag or paper towel. In any case, do not rub, to avoid spreading and enlarging the task. Then pour a little milk on your stain, until it is soaked. Let stand for 1 hour and clean your textile.
Clean a wine stain with soap
Whether your stain is dry or not, you can try to remove it with cold water and soap. Avoid too hot water, which will heat your wine and release its tannins, therefore dyes, into the fibres of your fabric. Simply rub with water and soap from Marseille, and clean well at the end. Depending on your textile, you can machine it to rinse it well.

Let stand for a few moments, rub gently to eliminate surplus and rinse. You can machine your textile to better clean it.

Like baking soda, white vinegar is one of the natural necessities to have at home, for efficient, economical and environmentally friendly cleaning. On a stain of wine, simply mix it with cold water and domestic alcohol and apply this mixture before rinsing thoroughly.
