Christina Milian was married to the father of her daughter Violet, rapper The Dream. How long did their story last?
Before being in a relationship with Matt Pokora, Christina Milian was married to another man, rapper The Dream. With him, she had an intense, but very fast relationship: they made their relationship official in February 2009, got engaged in May, married on September 4, and a few days later Christina announced that she was pregnant. Unfortunately, they separated in December 2009: their relationship lasted only one year, including a marriage and a baby! Little Violet was born on February 26, 2010, and The Dream and Christina Milian's divorce was finalized on October 23, 2011.
You could say that The Dream - real name Terius Youngdell Nash - is used to rocky relationships! Indeed, the rapper has a sentimental life full of twists and turns. In 2004, after only six months of relationship, he married rapper Nivea Hamilton. They had a daughter, born in 2005, and twins, born in 2006. They separated in 2007 and were officially divorced in 2008. In 2012 he got engaged to Lydia Nam, they separated in 2013 , and she gave birth to a baby boy. In 2014, he married Lalonne Martinez after six months of relationship. They had four children: two boys and two girls, born in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019 respectively. That's nine children in all for The Dream!
How did she find out she was pregnant with Violet?
On her Instagram account, Christina Milian shared a tender moment with her daughter, Violet: the one where she taught her how she knew she was pregnant. “The day I found out I was expecting you, I had just woken up from a nap on the couch, there was this commercial on TV for a pregnancy test and on the screen came the mention “pregnant”, what about me? I sent your dad for a test and the next day while he was sleeping I did it,” the singer explained.
