On the ground floor, facing the street, a refurbished family apartment makes you forget what could be considered a defect. Namely, the lack of intimacy or brightness that tirelessly sticks to this type of housing. But once through the door, it's a bubble of sweetness that invades us. A warm cocoon with unique tones that give it soul and character. Organic and vegetal colors invite themselves on the walls, mixed, here and there, with shades of gray, passing from anthracite to black. Because black remains the main color of this project designed by Atelier Fauves. The architect has made it his common thread. A more or less perceptible link, which visually (re)links the different spaces together. Structuring in a hallway, design on the furniture, chic and discreet in the kitchen, theatrical in the curved entrance. A far cry from the idea that only white should be used on the lower floors. This color palette shows how to use paint to structure a room. If the walls are adorned with colored pigments, cornices and ceilings remain invariably white to give more height to the spaces.

Iconic design and preserved tradition
In this hushed, charming setting, the Haussmann style sits right alongside furniture from another era. Icons of design from the second half of the 20th century or more contemporary pieces blend together in a skilful contrast. The angles are rounded. Lights, seats and decorative objects display their curves as if to calm the strict lines of the decor. The materials also respond to each other. In the dining room, the wooden table or the woven rattan armchair soften the steel of a Bertoia chair or a brass floor lamp. In the living room, marble, glass and metal warm up, combined with cozy textiles. Carpets, throws, cushions in abundance, overexposure of the sofa cover on the sofa give the air of a country house to this very urban interior. A lively interior, for large families, which does not hesitate to play the card of accumulation, attenuating the sometimes cold or impersonal side of certain designer furniture in total look.
