A year, a color. This is Pantone's little game, which, at the beginning of January, amuses himself to summarize the trends of the coming 365 days in a unique hue. Fortunately, no one will force you to wear only nettle green or eggshell beige: Pantone reveals the color of the year as an indication!
If you had it over your head with Pinterest paintings made of unicorn and cotton candy prouts, you're gonna have to tighten your teeth a little bit more. Be brave.
On the contrary, if you like soft ambiances and strawberry milk, welcome to the country of the bear.
If you like this trend (and your owner is nice), you can play it all for the whole while bringing a little color into your humble lair.
Rose quartz is a perfect color for one or more walls. It brings a very chic and romantic side without turning your entrance into Marie-Antoinette 's boudoir. Because it's a pretty easy color to match (especially if you like the wood and the light tones of the Scandinavian style), you can imagine it in large areas!

To avoid the "baby shower" aspect of serenity, I advise you to reserve it for small touches. This way, you can highlight a shelf, an ALCOVE or a nice height under the ceiling (Don't look like that, it may come one day). If you're a fan of masking tape and hair painting, you can also try to create vertical bands or beautiful geometric shapes (like, a circle).

But eh, the idea is not to choose between the two colors proposed by Pantone, but to combine them! So, what do you think of the mix?
Pastel hues are already very present in the decor catalogues. So you won't have much trouble supplying yourself with a soft sofa for your eyes! Some stores like Fleux 'offer online selections that combine the two colors of this year. So Don't worry: if you really want to adopt a rose quartz cushion or a serenity blue handkerchief box, you should find them more easily than a rainbow toilet bowl.

Finally, if you find rose quartz and serenity a little cucuous, you can add a little character to it by combining a few touches of graphic prints, flat black objects or a carpet that hurts your eyes. Who's got a tricycle and an axe on hand?
