Children, aged 9 months to 17 years and adults were brought back to France from Krakow where they had found refuge, thanks to a plane chartered by the Metropolis of Lyon.Two pregnant women, who were in the convoy, were taken care of by the Natecia clinic for medical follow -up.
Until state services provide accommodation in housing made available, the majority of Ukrainian displaced people repatriated from Krakow, were welcomed at the Bellecombe gymnasium.
In a press release, Bruno Bernard, the president of the Metropolis of Lyon, praised "the quality of this exceptional operation thanks to the mobilization of the Red Cross services, the Civil Protection of the Rhône, and the Natecia clinic alongsideof those of the Metropolis of Lyon ".
Note that the plane made it possible to transport more than 3 tonnes of medical, rescue and hygiene equipment to Ukraine.
