“Bottleneck bangs are somewhere between normal bangs and bangs that are too long,” says George Northwood, who has done hair styling for the likes of Alexa Chung and Daisy Edgar-Jones. “It extends to the sides to give a long effect that blends in with the rest of the hairstyle. It's a fringe that offers the best of both worlds.”
Unlike traditional bangs, which stay the same length all over the face, bottleneck bangs feature shorter strands in the center of the forehead, creating a frame around the face. “These locks are really flattering because they break up the bangs a bit,” George Northwood continues. “It's the style that best suits all face shapes.”
