How to create transparent bangs?

It is always wiser to call on a professional hairdresser rather than cut your bangs yourself… but for the more daring ones who have a good scissor, it is possible to create transparent bangs using a certain technique.

As with all types of bangs, it's important to cut on dry hair rather than wet hair (as water makes it heavier and can distort its true length). Part the hair in front of the face forming a triangular section. The top of the triangle should line up with the center of the face, about three centimeters from the hairline. Both ends of the bangs should line up with the outer corners of the eyes.

Next, place the scissors vertically to make what is called a “point cut”. This method consists of cutting with the scissors in the tips of the hair rather than across it, in order to create unstructured locks and to bring more texture to the lock. Smooth the bangs with a hair dryer or straightener, then finish with a texturizing spray to keep them in place for as long as possible.
