It is time for consolidation in an event sector seriously affected by the health crisis. The WMH Group, co-founded and co-chaired by Franck Chaud and Marc Fisher, continues its shopping and strengthens its position as an independent leader of mice in France.
It all started with the acquisitions of PHB events in 2018 and Mondial events in 2019 by FC2 events. And everything accelerated last spring with the takeover of Teamwork by the group WMH (acronym for we make it happen) Project born from the rapprochement of the first three. In this way, a major new player has emerged in terms of the creation and organisation of events, both in France and internationally. With experts, each in their own fields, having United under the same banner, in a brand-new headquarters, in the Alto Tower at La Défense.
Franck Chaud and Marc Fisher, the co-founders of FC2 events in 1995, now head of the group WMH Project, obviously did not intend to stop there. Indeed, they have just bought out LDR-raising the curtain, as Stratégies has just confirmed. A Parisian company founded in 1990, LDR carried out up to 150 events a year before the Covid, half of which took place internationally. This takeover enables WMH to consolidate its position as a leader among independent event groups in France, with 250 employees and revenue of more than €100 million.
WMH is not alone in consolidating the sector, bringing together different companies each with expertise in its field. One example is La Phratrie, another reference actor recently created by the association between La Fonderie and the happy prod and Vista event agencies.
