There are basically 2 types of shower rods. Tie rods are easy to install and require no tools or hardware. These rods can be rotated into place and easily adjusted. Twist the brackets into the frame if you have interlocking brackets. Some brackets come in 2 separate parts: the frame you drill into the wall and the fixture that goes above it. Once you drill the frame into the wall, slide each bracket through the shower rod. Then hold your rod up and slide your first bracket into the frame. Rotate the bracket around the frame clockwise until ' it locks into place. Repeat this process on the opposite side to complete your rod installation.
These types of rods can be quite tricky to install because you have to balance the rod while you put the brackets in place.Lower your rod into place if you have open supports. If your supports have an opening on one end, slide your rod into the closed support. Then move the other end of the rod over the support on the opposite side. Lower it into place to complete your shower rod installation.
