15th edition of Afrik Fashion Show: Isabelle Anoh honors Pathé’O for her 50-year career

The 15th edition of Afrik Fashion Show lowered its curtains at the Sofitel Abidjan Hôtel Ivoire, on Saturday November 06, 2021, An evening of fashion show highlighted Ivorian fashion designers around the theme '' Made in Ivory Coast''. On this occasion, the promoter Isabelle Anoh honored the fashion designer Pathé 'O for his 50-year career.

Isabelle Anoh, with a view to promoting fashion players, paid a vibrant tribute to Pathé ’O for her 50-year career. For this fact, the dean of Ivorian fashion, received a bronze “elephant” prize.

Before that, the promoter of Afrik Fashion Show, clarified the particularity of this 15th high mass of Ivorian fashion. “One of the innovations is the “ephemeral sale” which started this morning and which will end at the end of the parade. Tonight, 15 creators, divided according to 04 historical generations, will express their know-how. My thanks also go to fashion players, partners and the national and international press. Isabelle Anoh expressed her gratitude to the authorities, partners and all the fashion players at the evening called '' the big parade ''. “I am with the family today, it is with great emotion that I welcome you. It was a year and a half, the last edition of Afrik Fashion Show due to Covid-19. I would like to thank His Excellency Mr. Patrick Achi, Head of Government, Madam Minister of State, Kandia Camara, Mrs. Harlette Badou N'Guessan Kouamé, Minister of Culture and Mr. Siandou Fofana, Minister of Tourism and Leisure, as well as Mr. Félix Anoblé,” she said.

Pathé ’O: “Africa should only be developed by Africans”

Pathé ’O expressed his gratitude to Isabelle Anoh for receiving the Bronze Elephant award. “I would like to thank Isabelle Anoh for promoting Ivorian fashion and for this present. I thank the ministers for their support for the event. Africa should only be developed by Africans. God bless Côte d'Ivoire," said Pathé 'O.

On stage, a traditional artistic troupe, professional models, but also Manadja from the group Magic System, the host Caroline Dasylva and the authorities took turns. Fashion designers, Pathé ’O, Ciss St-Moїse and young talents have made their scissors speak through the traditional loincloth.

Pathé’O has made no secret of its source of inspiration for its evening creation. According to him, the choice of the white color comes from Gilles Touré. The promoter intends to give more sparkle to the event. And this, from the 16th edition which will be called Afrik Fashion Week.
