We evaluate about forty points and carry out several dozen measurements with each laser rangefinder that enters our laboratories. The ergonomics of the devices are scrutinized: quality of the screen, handling, finishes, waterproofing... Nothing is left to chance, a laser rangefinder must be both easy to use and resistant.
We also perform measurements to assess the accuracy of different rangefinder models in various conditions: short and long distances, bright light, difficult angles, etc. The speed of the measurements is also evaluated, because the precision depends a lot on it.
We also test connected features and apps when available. These can represent a significant time saver as much as a headache if they are not thought out correctly.
