In a word: challenging. Upon arriving in Uzbekistan, the candidates did not expect to experience such a grueling ordeal. For this third stage of the Beijing Express adventure, broadcast this Thursday, February 24 on M6, Stéphane Rotenberg has reserved a particularly complicated trek for the fifteen adventurers. A new challenge that the participants of this thirteenth season are not about to forget. During this stage, the seven pairs still in competition had to complete a three-kilometre hike while walking on an Uzbek carpet that could weigh up to 25 kilos. An exhausting course which very quickly put Caroline to the end. Under a sun at its zenith, the young Toulonnaise and her mother Arlette had to pull a carpet of five meters. After more than three hours, Caroline is at her wit's end. "I'm fed up, she assures totally exhausted. Now I'm going to crack. I'm fed up!"

Overwhelmed by the heat of around 38 degrees in the shade and fatigue, Caroline quickly loses her patience. "It's not going, it's not going, it's not going, it's getting drunk, insists the bubbly blonde. We have a carpet that's 300 meters long, it's stuffing me up. It's super hot too, it's abused". Totally helpless in the face of the weight of the carpet and the remaining kilometers, the Toulonnaise is worried about the rest of this nightmarish ordeal. "How do you want us to do three kilometers like that? It's impossible! Impossible!", she laments in front of her completely distraught mother. Despite the sweating and "blisters on all her fingers", the young woman was able to count on her mother's encouragement. Reinvigorated, but exhausted, Caroline very quickly resumed the path of this "hellish" journey.
Caroline (Pékin Express 2022): ready to do anything to win the adventure
Despite this questioning, Caroline did not give up. Determined to win this fifteenth edition of the famous adventure game, the young woman draws her strength from Arlette's love for her. Having been raised solely by her mother, the pretty blonde dreams of winning the victory for the latter. "To take my mother to the final of the Beijing Express would be to say 'thank you' for everything she has done," says the bubbly blonde. A gift that would be worth all the gold in the world in the eyes of this very protective mother. "I think we'll have something done," concludes Arlette tenderly.
