Unsplash - Mae MuTo create an all-purpose cleaner, save the peels from your oranges and put them in a large mason jar filled with equal parts vinegar and water. Let it sit for a few weeks, then transfer the liquid to a vaporizer. You will have the perfect push-push to shine the table or any other work surface.

- For the microwave, oven and household appliances: heat a cup of water with the juice of a lemon for about two minutes, then scrub the appliance with a sponge.
- For limescale from faucets: cut a lemon in half and use one of the two halves to scrub the faucets with its juice. Wait about fifteen minutes, rinse the different areas with water, then wipe everything with a dry cloth.
- For the toilet: ¾ cup of vinegar, a liter of boiling water and the juice of two lemons will allow you to scrub the inside of your toilet. Pour everything into the bowl, wait an hour or two, scrub with a brush and finally flush the toilet.
- For the top of moldings or ceramic cracks: take a bowl of hot water, add the juice of a lemon, salt and baking soda. Scrub with a toothbrush and leave on for fifteen minutes. Brush again or rinse with a little water and a dry cloth.
- For mirrors and glass: take a bowl of hot water and add the juice of half a lemon. Pour the liquid into a spray bottle that you will use to clean mirrors and windows. Wipe the surfaces with a cloth and dry them using corked newspaper. This one will leave no trace!

Baking soda can also loosen burnt food in the bottom of a pan. Pour baking soda on the burnt part, add boiling water, wait a few minutes for the mixture to work and rub to lift the burnt part.

Cornstarch will be the perfect ingredient to dislodge grease stains on a sofa or carpet (or even on clothes). Pour it on the stain in question and let it act for a dozen hours. Then scrub with a brush and vacuum to remove excess cornstarch.
Unsplash - Charles DeluvioThe salt and vinegar mixture is not only perfect in the bowl of chips, it is also ideal for cleaning windows. You can create a spray bottle with ½ cup of vinegar in two cups of hot water and a tablespoon of salt. All that remains is to wipe the surface with newspaper.
We often forget to clean the inside of our washer, but the results are worth the effort. Pour about a quart of vinegar into the washer, then run a regular cycle with no clothes in it. You can also add baking soda to help deodorize the machine.

You can also choose olive oil to polish your wooden furniture. In a bowl, in equal parts with lemon juice, the olive oil will nourish the wood and allow it to shine again. Bring a rag so as not to make a mess.
